COUNCIL MINUTES – October 21, 2019

The Town Council of the Town of Steele, Alabama, met in Regular Session at 6:30 PM on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Steele Town Hall. Upon roll call the following members were present:

Roger Adams, Mayor
Richard Reynolds, Councilmember Brent Dunn, Councilmember Philip Gleason Jr., Councilmember Rick Barnes, Councilmember
Nancy Miller-Borg, Councilmember

Absent:None.

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Adams, who asked Councilmember Reynolds to lead everyone in a word of prayer.

The Town Council having read the minutes from the Regular Council Meeting held on Monday, October 7, 2019, motion was made by Councilmember Barnes to approve the minutes, seconded Councilmember Gleason Jr. and approved by the Town Council.

Ayes: Barnes, Gleason Jr., Reynolds, Dunn and Miller-Borg. Nays: None.

The Town Council having reviewed the September financial reports, motion was made by Councilmember Reynolds approving the financial reports seconded Councilmember Miller-Borg and approved by the Town Council.

Ayes: Reynolds, Miller-Borg, Dunn, Gleason Jr. and Barnes. Nays: None.

Police Chief Mark Ward presented a proposal to purchase 1,000 rounds of 9mm ammunition and 1,000 practice rounds of 9mm ammunition from Gulf State Distributors for a cost of $458.00.
Councilmember Miller-Borg made a motion to purchase the ammunition at a cĀ·ost of
$458.00 for the Police Department, seconded Councilmember Reynolds and approved by the Town Council.

Ayes: Miller-Borg, Reynolds, Dunn, Gleason Jr. and Barnes. Nays: None.

Mayor Adams presented Resolution 2019-013 Adopting Fiscal Year 2019-2020 Budget for the Town of Steele. After discussion, the Town Council agreed that they would like to table this until the next Town Council meeting.

Mayor Adams informed the Town Council that the Avenu/Alatax contract is up for
renewal on our Business License Administration and Busines.s. License Discovery/Recovery

With there being no furthel’ business to come before this Regular Council Meeting of October 21, 2019, Councilmember Barnes made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded Councilmember Miller-Borg, adjourned at 7:01 PM.
